Very difficult class if you were never that good in science but she works with you. She communicates regularly and reminds you of work with upcoming due dates. Her emails were very nice as well! I personally wouldn't take again but recommend to anyone who likes astronomy etc.

I took her online class during the summer and she was very nice and funny. This course is not easy, but I really appreciated that she made things easier for grading. She's very understanding and will answer all the questions you have. I would recommend you take her class during the fall!

Didn't learn anything, but took her PHYS 1401 as a Maymester, then PHYS 1402 on top of another science. Easiest class ever. Didn't learn much, but if you need this to raise a prereq GPA or just to get credit. This is the easiest science I have ever taken. Take her for both PHYS 1401 and 1402!

I felt like I was teaching myself Physics. The content was not clear, the posted lectures were hard to understand and follow. The course does not follow the textbook. There was no feedback on assignments and impossible to get straight or relevant answers when emailed for help. I was told by prof that she was too busy to give feedback at one point.

The class was taken online. She gave you the option to visit the lab in case that you need help. There is a project and extra credits, DO THEM THEY REALLY WORTH IN YOUR FINAL GRADE.

I did not enjoy this professor. I had all A's and she gave me a 50 on my last exam because although my answers were right, she didn't like the way my work was done, so she failed me. I had to go through a bunch of extra assignments that i should not have had to go through because she decided to do this. You don't go from straight A's to a 50.

I'm not the best when it comes to science, but this class was not too hard. I did take for Maymester so there was much to do in so little time. If you pace yourself correctly you should be fine. Everything was done online, no proctored exams. It is recommended to work with a partner on labs, but I ended up having to do everything else myself.

Nice, but not organized. Almost every lecture she would want students to correct her, but it was difficult to do so since the material enough is difficult to understand right away. Also, for the labs , she would often get lost if you asked for clarification. For HW and exams, she would often assign them when she felt like it. Do the EC. It helps.

She grades very slow but as long as you do the work early and on time you shouldnt have any problems passing her class. Everything is on quizlet. There is a project and mandatory star parties to attend and thats a major part of your grade but she doesnt grade heavy . As long as you show effort that your doing it she will mostly likely pass you.

If you are not naturally good a physics, do not take her online. If you have no choice then I recommend paying for Course Hero. Trust me on this. Forget about her replying to your email fast, it took me 2 1/2 months to get a response to a question I had about my first assignment, by the drop date she still had not graded anything. Not cool.

One of my favorite teachers of all time. She doesn't grade all the work on time but as long as you show up to class and put forth the effort you'll pass. The work is not easy what so ever. Lots and lots of studying is required i would recommend grouping up before tests to go over notes.

Bad experience, but possibly because it was online. Very disorganized. You'll suffer unless you stay on top of the material and schedule of assignments, particularly with the labs (which are annoying). Perhaps she is a better instructor in person. Side note: attend the Star Party - she'll likely bump you up a letter grade (she did for my class).

Cal based physics is going to be difficult no matter who you have. While she is pretty scatter brained, she is a fantastic teacher. If you attend class, ask questions, and study then I don't see how you can't at least get a A-. Very easy grader, but you have to show all of your work.

Great instructor! It's true -- she is incredibly sweet, and if you care about your grades and want to do well, you will. LOVED HER!! She loves sharing her love for Astronomy and wants others to enjoy it as much as her, great lady!
